Start with the working routine
Discuss deliveries, busy service periods, cleaning, and overnight operation. Those patterns help explain normal changes in a cold room and identify when a notification would be useful. Let the operator define the conditions that matter for the products and equipment involved.
Choose the complete setup
Plan the sensor or probe, the on-site gateway, its network connection, and the platform alert rule together. Confirm communication with the cold-room door closed. A sensor that works during installation with the room open has not yet demonstrated the normal operating path.
Assign the response
Decide who checks an alert, who can reach the building, and who contacts refrigeration service. Test the notification on the intended recipient’s device. Agree how an unresolved condition is handed to a backup person rather than assuming someone else saw it.
A local example, with clear limits
SmartCore provides refrigeration monitoring for South Main Brewing in Watkinsville. That relationship is a useful example of the type of location we support. It does not establish a guaranteed reduction in spoilage, a particular temperature requirement, or automatic compliance for another brewery. Each site needs its own placement and response plan.
PUT IT TO WORK

- Describe opening hours and loading patterns.
- Confirm the measurement and operating limits.
- Test the gateway connection with doors closed.
